Meridian + Myrrh Scholarship Program
At Meridian + Myrrh Acupuncture and Wellness, we believe everyone deserves access to healing, regardless of financial circumstances. To help support members of our community, we offer a limited number of scholarship spots each month for reduced-cost acupuncture care.
What the Scholarship Includes
- 50% discount on acupuncture visits
- Up to 10 visits per year per patient
- One scholarship spot is available at a time (space is limited)
- All sessions are provided by Kara Haakonson, DAcCHM, L.Ac at Petrak Family Chiropractic Center, 3070 S Wolf Rd, Westchester, IL 60154
Who Can Apply
- Anyone currently experiencing financial hardship who would benefit from acupuncture.
- Please note: patients with in-network BCBS IL PPO and Blue Choice PPO acupuncture benefits are not eligible, as insurance contracts require us to bill your plan directly. If you have BCBS IL PPO or Blue Choice PPO, you may contact your insurer for financial hardship options.
- You may be asked to provide documentation, such as a pay stub or tax return,to verify financial need.
Your Commitment
We ask scholarship recipients to:
- Arrive on time for scheduled appointments
- Communicate timely if you need to reschedule
- Participate fully in your treatment plan

Simply complete our Scholarship Application Form. All information will remain confidential. Send an email to kara@meridianandmyrrh.com and we’ll provide the application form.
