In-Network with Blue Cross Blue Shield IL PPO and Blue Choice PPO
At Meridian + Myrrh Acupuncture and Wellness, we want to make accessing care as simple as possible. We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois PPO and Blue Choice PPO plans. However, please note that not all insurance policies cover acupuncture services. We encourage you to reach out to our office so we can assist in verifying your eligibility and coverage.
Verify Your Insurance Benefits
Curious if your plan covers acupuncture? Simply email the following information to kara@meridianandmyrrh.com:
- Photos of the front and back of your insurance card(s)
- Policyholder’s name, address, and date of birth
- Your relationship to the policyholder (e.g., self, spouse, child)
Once your benefits are confirmed, we’ll reach out with details on eligibility, co-pays, deductibles, and treatment options. Rest assured, our email system is HIPAA compliant to keep your personal information safe and secure.
Out-of-Network Coverage
If you have insurance outside of BCBS IL PPO or Blue Choice PPO, you may still have out-of-network benefits. We can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Do you accept HSA/FSA payments?
Yes, we gladly accept HSA and FSA payments. These can be a great option to cover acupuncture and herbal services.
Do you accept Medicaid or Medicare?
Unfortunately, current federal regulations do not allow licensed acupuncturists to bill Medicare or Medicaid directly. We’re happy to provide an itemized receipt (Superbill) for those who wish to seek reimbursement from other insurance plans.
